No sign-up, no email address, and nobody calling you afterwards. Tick what your gear is doing and the figure appears straight away.
All figures are shown excluding VAT, with the total including 21 % right underneath. This is an estimate, not a quotation: the figure comes from a published table built on real trade rates, but what actually decides the price is what turns up once the gear is open. The firm estimate is made with the equipment on the bench, given in writing, itemising the fault and the hours, and valid for 30 days. Nothing is touched until you accept it.
Print the deposit sheet
If you're going to ship the gear, print this sheet and put it inside the box. It carries your reference, an inventory of what you're sending and the fault description. It also serves as the deposit receipt required by Spanish RD 58/1988, so it protects you.
Where do these prices come from?
From rates published by real workshops in the trade — Brooklyn Film Camera, Skyllaney, Cameraworks-UK, Factory Cameras, Fokus — converted to euros and adjusted to what bench time costs here. They are not numbers invented so the page has figures on it.
I ticked four symptoms and the price didn't quadruple. Why?
Because the expensive part is opening it. Once the lens is stripped on the bench, cleaning one more group or going over the aperture is marginal time. Adding the full price of each symptom would produce a huge and false number.
What if something worse turns up once it's open?
I call you before going any further. You will never receive an invoice above the estimate you accepted without our having spoken. If the extra cost isn't worth it to you, it goes back together and comes home.
Do you keep the details I type here?
No. This page sends nothing to any server: everything you type stays in your browser and only serves to compose the WhatsApp or email message that you send. Close the tab and it's gone.
